Since I was a little girl I've collected things; paper cut out dolls, birds eggs, owl pellets, bus tickets. As I've grown I've gathered more transient items: spoken words, fragile scraps of someone else's memories in torn postcards.

I'm fascinated by things that people lose, intentionally or not. And how, when I find them, those things can be re-mastered into an entirely new thing. This new thing can then be sent out on it's own journey, so that it creates new emotions and new memories.

Of course, the new thing will be lost too. And, at that point, the whole process begins again.

As Mary Queen of Scots said  "In my end is my beginning"
