Originally from the North East of England, I currently work in marketing and I am lucky enough to live in a beautiful part of rural Leicestershire.

I trained as a Graphic Designer and whilst at college, painted portraits of pets to subsidise my student grant. Recently a friend  encouraged me to pick up my pastels again and I have rediscovered the joys of pastel painting. Having received some commissions to paint portraits of pets, I have now decided to offer my services more widely, via this website and social media. I am really grateful for the interest and encouragement my portraits have generated.

I love to paint animals and wildlife and like to include sufficient detail to render a touch of realism. Velour and pastel board are my preferred base for portraits as they hold the pastel well and are suitable for blending and creating the finer detail of fur and feathers.
