Mainly self-taught Anja has drawn and painted most of her life; watercolours and from about 2002 acrylic too. She shared her skills with some of the children she worked with at lunchtime clubs when she worked at a secondary school as teaching support staff.
It wasn't until 6 years ago that she began painting in oils. A friend and fellow artist encouraged her to become a member of MIWAS and it was at one of MIWAS's exhibitions that she first sold her work. Since then she has had various commissions.
She still loves painting in watercolours too and now her work also includes mixed media such as coloured and plain graphite with watercolour or acrylic.
Subjects vary greatly because of her wide variety of interests and her sense of awe when seeing beauty all around, from landscapes to flowers to animals to children.
Commissions are gladly undertaken.
If you would like to buy an artwork or print please visit her website www.artistsandillustrators.co.uk/anjastracey or email . Let her know which picture you are interested in, mention HAVEN and she will donate the stated percentage of the price to help the Wildcats.
